Churchill Howard are recruiting on behalf of a successful and growing business based just north of Birmingham. The role we are working on is for an Internal Audit and Risk Manager to join a great team and develop their career under the guidance of the Audit Director and wider business leaders. There is also a flexible working arrangement in terms of location and working from home in this role (c2 days a week in the office with infrequent travel to other locations across this global business).As a professional and personable individual, you will have gained experience working at a managerial or senior level, be motivated and able to work in a team or independently.
You will have recent experience of working in internal audit with a risk-based approach and a relevant qualification (ACA, PIIA, MIIA or equivalent) with significant post qualification experience. You should be able to hit the ground running in this role and along side the day to today internal audit work you will also play a key role in shaping a relevant risk and controls framework.You will be intuitive in nature, inquisitive in your approach to work and be able to build partnerships with management and senior internal stakeholders as well as be involved in audit committee meetings and identify and uncover issues that can then be resolved. As there is a flat structure in the team you will be able to gain great experience and have support to do this.
