Recovery Coordinator
Reading £18.00 per hour Ongoing ContractWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Recovery Coordinator to join a dedicated substance misuse and recovery service based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate professional who is committed to supporting individuals through their recovery journey and promoting long-term independence and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting service users from initial engagement through to recovery and exit planning
* Carrying out screenings, assessments, risk assessments, and recovery planning
* Delivering person-centred interventions focused on recovery and harm reduction
* Managing a caseload of clients with complex needs including substance misuse, mental health, housing, and social issues
* Providing advocacy and referrals to external partnership agencies and support services
* Promoting social inclusion, resilience, peer support, and independent living
* Maintaining accurate case notes and ensuring compliance with safeguarding procedures
* Working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes for service users
Requirements:
* Previous experience working within substance misuse, recovery, homelessness, or mental health services
* Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and recovery-focused approaches
* Excellent communication, engagement, and case management skills
* Ability to work effectively with vulnerable adults and challenging behaviours
* Enhanced DBS preferred or willingness to obtain one
