Nuclear Restoration Services Limited (NRS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA). NRS is responsible for decommissioning first generation nuclear power stations Berkeley, Bradwell, Chapelcross, Dungeness A, Hinkley Point A, Hunterston A, Oldbury, Sizewell A, Trawsfynydd and Wylfa, and research sites Harwell and Winfrith. NRS is also responsible for electricity generation at hydroelectric plant Maentwrog. As a division of NRS, NRS Dounreay is responsible for the clean-up and demolition of the former centre of fast reactor research and development.

Please note the contractual hours for this role are 07.30 - 17.15 Monday - Thursday, perfect for someone looking for a four day working week.
Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Carrying out pre-planned and reactive maintenance on electrical assets including motors, transformers, switchgear, drives and LV plant.
Ensuring maintenance plans and targets are achieved safely and within environmental parameters of the power station.
Carry out analysis and fault diagnosis of plant and communicate findings back to the Team Leader or Maintenance Engineer.
Working in line with maintenance techniques and best practices.
Be authorised to hold safety documents and work to prescribed radiological, electrical and mechanical safety rules within radiological and contaminated areas.
Follow prescribed work instructions, check sheets and other QA documentation to ensure compliance is maintained at all times.
Ability to read and understand a full range of engineering drawings.
Qualifications and Experience:
(Essential) Appropriate technical qualification e.g. City and Guilds, BTEC ONC, (NQF Level 3).
(Essential) Relevant experience in technical area.
(Desirable) Experience of working in the Nuclear Industry. #INDOR

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
