Long Term Futures are working with an inclusive and welcoming primary school, who are seeking a passionate and dependable SEND Teaching Assistant to work with either KS1 or KS2. You'll be working alongside staff supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs. The focus for this role will be on 1:1 support.
Your Responsibilities:
You will support pupils with varied send needs including communication, cognition and sensory needs.
You will work collaboratively with the lead teacher in the room to deliver tailored interventions.
You will provide 1:1 and small group support, focusing on engagement and progress.
You will foster a positive, nurturing learning space where pupils feel safe and supported.
You will help manage transitions and daily routines effectively.Requirements
Experience supporting children with SEND, either in a school or care setting.
A calm, flexible and patient approach.
Confidence working across different age groups within a small setting.
