This is an exciting opportunity for a curious, analytical research professional with experience managing research projects and turning evidence into actionable insight to join our growing organisation.
You’ll have the chance to work on a varied portfolio of research projects, utilising your research expertise in a role where your insights can genuinely influence decisions. You’ll have access to a strong all-round benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, reward your contribution and help you grow.
The Role
As the Research and Insights Manager, you’ll play a key role in our research and insights activity, building strong evidence based on workforce needs, skills gaps and sector trends across land-based and environmental industries. You’ll manage a portfolio of research projects, working with colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality, actionable insight that informs policy development, product design and external engagement. This is a highly influential role, combining analytical rigour with real world impact, and offering the chance to shape how evidence drives decisions across Lantra and the wider sector, while also providing a strong development opportunity for someone keen to learn, grow their expertise and demonstrate the impact of their work.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is curious, analytical and motivated by impact – a person who enjoys exploring evidence, asking the right questions and turning complex information into insight that can genuinely influence decisions. You’ll be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data, but equally confident explaining what it means to people who aren’t research specialists. You’ll be collaborative and engaging, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, and happy working across teams to ensure research is relevant, accessible and used in practice. You’ll bring a strategic mindset, spotting emerging trends and skills issues, while also being practical and organised enough to manage multiple projects to time and budget. We’re looking for proven experience of managing or delivering research projects, working with external suppliers or partners, and producing insights that have informed policy, planning or decision making. Experience of workforce, skills or labour market research – or working with sector or government bodies – would be an advantage but isn’t essential. Above all, you’ll be adaptable, resilient and keen to use evidence to make a real difference. You’ll also need a full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, due to our location.
Webrecruit and Lantra are equal opportunities employers, value diversity and are strongly committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all employees and all applicants for employment. Equal opportunities are the only acceptable way to conduct business and we believe that the more inclusive our environments are, the better our work will be.
