Teaching Personnel are supporting a friendly and inclusive primary school in Maidstone, Kent, to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse group of pupils and make a real difference in their learning and development.
You will be helping children who may have diagnosed or undiagnosed SEN, providing 1:1 support or working with small groups. Pupils may require assistance with learning, communication, social skills, or emotional regulation. You will work closely with class teachers to adapt lessons and resources, ensuring all children can access the curriculum and reach their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs
Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials for different learning needs
Deliver targeted interventions to support academic, social, and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
Support pupils’ confidence, wellbeing, and inclusion within the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Experience working with children in a school, care, or youth setting
Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
This is a full-time, term-time only role (8:30am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday) on a long-term basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
