The Governing Body of Trallwng Infants School is seeking to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years class teacher to join our supportive and committed team. This exciting opportunity is to work in our Early Years Nursery and Reception unit, providing vital support for their early development and learning.
At Trallwng Infants School, we are proud of our warm, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child is celebrated, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential. Our school is rooted in the local community and guided by strong values, with a friendly and warm working environment created by a supportive and hardworking team. We believe in fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence from the very beginning of a child’s educational journey. Joining our team means becoming part of a school that values collaboration, wellbeing, and a shared commitment to making every day meaningful for our children.
As part of our Early Years team, you will work closely with staff to nurture a rich, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to explore, discover, and learn through play. You will help to foster a classroom atmosphere that is warm, secure, and stimulating—where children feel valued, confident, and inspired to learn.
As a small school, we value staff who bring experience beyond their own classroom and are keen to contribute to the wider life of the school. We are therefore seeking a teacher who has experience of working collaboratively with colleagues, supporting or leading aspects of practice within the classroom, and who is willing to share their skills by taking on additional responsibilities as appropriate, in line with the needs of the school. This may include contributing to the development of areas such as literacy or other curriculum priorities. We offer a highly supportive environment with excellent opportunities for professional development and the chance to gain valuable experience of leadership and whole-school working.
The Successful Candidate Will:
●Be a passionate, reflective, and nurturing Early Years practitioner who inspires and engages children through high quality, imaginative, play based learning tailored to their developmental needs.
●Demonstrate a secure and up to date understanding of early childhood development and the new curriculum, with a strong commitment to child led, experiential, and inclusive practice.
●Confidently lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of learning within the Early Years, working collaboratively with colleagues, sharing good practice, and contributing to the development of effective provision.
●Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external partners, modelling professionalism and promoting a culture of positivity, respect, wellbeing, and high expectations.
●Use observation, assessment, and record keeping effectively to track pupil progress, inform next steps, and support consistently positive behaviour through developmentally appropriate strategies.
●Show initiative, resilience, and adaptability, with the willingness and capacity to contribute to whole school priorities and the wider life of a small school, including taking on additional responsibilities and engaging with the local community.
We Can Offer:
●A nurturing, inclusive learning environment where children are supported and challenged to achieve their full potential.
●A close and caring school community with excellent relationships between staff, pupils, parents, governors, and the wider community.
●High standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and achievement, underpinned by a supportive and collaborative staff team.
●Meaningful opportunities for professional development and the chance to gain valuable experience contributing to leadership and whole school improvement within a small-school context.
The closing date for applications is Friday 15th May at Midnight.
