About the apprenticeship
Duties
• Undertake routine inspections and respond to complaints and enquiries relating to Animal Health and Welfare matters and support other officers in the team with this work.
• You will work towards obtaining the Chartered Institute of Trading Standards Animal Health and Welfare Professional Qualification -

• Provide advice and assistance to agricultural businesses.
• Work closely with other Council departments, government agencies, external partners and members of the public.
• Apply relevant legislation and guidance and undertake investigations or enforcement as appropriate. Assist in the preparation of case files for prosecution, attend court/tribunals/hearings as required.
