Join us at Legal & General as our new Head of Legal Operations, where you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Legal & Governance division. Reporting to the Deputy Group General Counsel, you’ll lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational excellence, financial discipline, and technology enablement. 1. Acting as a strategic advisor to senior legal leadership
2. Designing and delivering a legal operations strategy aligned to business priorities
3. Overseeing legal panel and vendor management to ensure value and efficiency
4. Leading the implementation and optimisation of legal technology platforms
5. Managing internal communications and departmental events
6. Developing talent and resource strategies, including paralegal deployment
7. Enhancing knowledge, document and records management across the division
8. Driving financial oversight and reporting to support cost-effective legal services
QualificationsWho we’re looking for:
9. Demonstrated experience in legal operations within a corporate or law firm setting
10. Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage complex projects
11. Strong financial acumen with experience in budget oversight and spend analysis
12. Expertise in legal technology and process improvement
13. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
14. A collaborative leadership style with a focus on team development
15. Strategic thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making
16. A degree in law, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
