Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager – UK Wide
Base: Sheffield or Any UK site | Travel: 40–60% across UK & occasional overseas

A leading global engineering organisation is looking for an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to support its UK operations and international project portfolio.
With approx. 300 employees across multiple UK sites (including workshops and overseas construction activity), this is a hands-on, influential role at the heart of a complex technical environment.

The Role
You’ll take ownership of a broad range of EHS activities, supporting engineering projects, workshop operations and overseas construction sites.
This is a practical, travel-led position requiring strong engagement skills, technical competence and the ability to influence behaviours at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop ISO 45001 & ISO 14001 management systems
* Lead behavioural safety and drive a proactive EHS culture
* Identify, assess and monitor EHS risks, and develop improvement plans
* Conduct internal audits and support external audit processes
* Complete task-specific risk assessments
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
* Deliver toolbox talks, coaching and practical safety training
* Ensure compliance with UK legislation, CDM and relevant standards
* Provide EHS support to UK workshops and international construction sites
Skills & Experience
* A-Level / HNC / time-served or equivalent
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or working towards Diploma)
* Strong experience in EHS within engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments
* Confident influencing stakeholders at all levels
* Proven experience with capital or turnkey projects
* Knowledge of CDM and COMAH
* Auditing and management systems experience
* Product safety experience desirable
