Systems Engineer – Nuclear Hardening
Contract, hybrid based, based in Portsmouth area.
Role
Systems Engineer, small experienced team, responsible for designing compliant equipment installation designs with associated test plans and compliance evidence, managing all aspects of the system lifecycle from initial design through installation to customer handover, identifying mitigations and responses to Nuclear Hardening and producing NH analysis.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with Nuclear Hardening standards
- Knowledge of NH analysis, test specifications, test procedures, test setups, and test data
- System-level NH design, development and solutions, including GFE environments and mitigations
- NH equipment selection
- Practical knowledge of the installation of electrical equipment, including rack installation and compliant cabling practices
- Understanding of the effects of electrical equipment (and cabling) interference, and methods for mitigating interference
- Electrical safety certification
- Exposure to generating test plans for sign‑off of electrical equipment installation, preferably with NH experience
- Verification, Validation & integration
