This role will help shape the EA’s future structure and develop a plan to protect and enhance the environment while supporting sustainable growth.

* Take a flexible approach and assist other projects and workstreams within the programme as needs arise.
* Act as an active team member, contributing to a high‑performing, agile team that thrives amid high demand and ambiguity.

* Experience working with central government to develop policy, including collaboration with specialists such as economists and scientists.
* Strategic thinking and action.
* Excellent communication and engagement skills, including translating complex issues and information into clear, targeted advice at short notice.
* Experience working across boundaries and influencing at all levels.
