Job Summary
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting. Your responsibilities will include supervising junior staff, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example, fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for both residents and staff.
Duties
* Supervise and support junior care staff in their daily tasks to ensure high standards of care are maintained.
* Assist residents with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and mobility support.
* Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their condition.
* Drive residents to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transport.
* Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care practices.
Skills
* Proven experience in supervising staff within a senior care environment is essential.
* Strong IT skills for maintaining records and communicating effectively with team members.
* A deep understanding of senior care practices and the specific needs of elderly individuals.
* Ability to drive safely and responsibly when transporting residents.
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, and colleagues.

As BANK role available is Zero Contract an added rate of £1.47 per hour is paid. When shifts take place.
This role would include BANK senior care day and/or nights.
