Overview
The maintenance technician will be responsible for front line maintenance and breakdown response on a shift basis working a double day shift - 6/2 - 2/10. This is a key role in maintaining continuity in production at the manufacturing facility. The main objective is to keep manufacturing assets safely operational to ensure that production targets are met consistently through planned and reactive maintenance. The role involves problem solving on a range of assets to fix failures initially and follow up to prevent repeat failures. It covers maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement activities on production equipment, chemical process plant, textile and conversion equipment, air compressors, boilers, chiller plant, HVAC, Building Management Systems, and SCADA systems.
Responsibilities
* Perform front line maintenance and breakdown response on a shift basis.
* Maintain continuity of production by keeping assets safely operational and addressing failures promptly.
* Carry out maintenance, repair and continuous improvement activities across production equipment, chemical process plant, textile and conversion equipment, air compressors, boilers, chiller plant, HVAC, Building Management Systems, and SCADA systems.
Qualifications
* Understanding of clean room or controlled environment controls (e.g., HVAC, humidity, and pressure cascades).
* Broad experience in Electrical Systems, Operations and Maintenance, with proven ability in managing site infrastructure systems and services (HVAC systems and controls, Fire Protection systems, LV Electrical networks).
* Fluent PC skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ideally MS Project and CAD.
* General knowledge of 18th Edition (BS 7671) IEE Regulations.
* Knowledge of PLCs and SCADA systems would be advantageous.
* Compex training/awareness desirable.
* Knowledge of CMMS systems such as Maximo; Carbon60, Lorien & SRG (The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio) – employment-related boilerplate may apply.
