The opportunity
Kinetic are looking for a Bus Aide to provide assistance to School Bus drivers in the operation of School Bus Services (am/pm splits), ensuring efficient running and passenger safety. A Bus Aide may operate school services, charters, and special events.
Key responsibilities
* Assist in the safe boarding and exiting of students, including those who are ambulant or use wheelchairs
* Supervise student behaviour to maintain a safe and respectful environment on board
* Attend to individual student needs, including liaising with the driver about comfort factors such as heating and cooling
* Engage positively with students, demonstrating a caring and supportive attitude throughout the journey
* Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere by initiating appropriate conversation and building rapport with students

We are people person with a customer first attitude, and therefore are looking for people with:
* Experience working with people with disabilities
* Excellent customer service skills and enjoy working with the public
* Ability to work as a team with the Driver to deliver a safe and effective service
* Current first aid certificate
* Current Working with Children Check (we can assist you obtaining if required)
* Be able to pass a pre‐employment physical examination and medical history check
* Australian Work Rights
