Description
An opportunity to join the Willis Specie team, handling direct and wholesale risks from all geographies.
The Role
* Responsible for all aspects of handling and broking Specie accounts.
* Service large/complex clients on a single policy or portfolio placement basis.
* Understand a client or prospect’s business, coverage requirements, and key issues.
* Manage relationships and negotiate placement with relevant insurance markets.
* Prepare client/prospect and market presentations and documentation.
* Determine appropriate solutions, structuring, and pricing.
* Identify suitable markets and develop placing strategies.
* Build and maintain relationships with underwriters in UK and international markets.
* Assist with the department’s sales processes and new business development.
* Maintain a pipeline of new business inquiries and convert them into orders where possible.
* Ensure compliance with Willis guidelines and procedures.
* Maintain good communication and relationships with other WTW associates.
* Utilize relevant WTW systems effectively.
* Provide high-level customer service to clients, supporting upselling and cross-selling efforts.
* Primarily based in the Specie Ipswich Team, with collaboration with colleagues and clients from the London Team as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Comprehensive knowledge of Specie insurance and clients.
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent technical skills.
* Ability to quickly process and apply large volumes of information.
* Negotiation skills with flexibility and innovation.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Effective prioritization, deadline management, and resilience under pressure.
* Adaptability to work effectively with diverse clients, colleagues, and underwriters.
* Willingness to attend client and underwriter meetings as required.
* Commitment to integrity, openness, and compliance with FCA and Willis standards.
* Proficient in Word and Excel, with good IT skills.
