A well-established multi-disciplinary engineering company is seeking a Civil Design Engineer Roads & Drainage. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for designs and site visits from time to time. This is a hybrid position but this role may be a remote role for the right candidate.
ROLE
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with a background in roads and drainage design from project inception to completion. The role, reporting to a Principal Engineer, will support infrastructure projects and public realm including active travel schemes. This role may be a remote role for the right candidate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Design roads and drainage systems in accordance with client brief and standards.
o Provide technical guidance to Construction Teams.
o Attend meetings with local authorities and clients.
* Conduct site inspections.
o Prepare detailed project reports and documentation.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in roads and drainage design.
* Knowledge of local authority regulations and procedures.
* Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
* Proficiency in design software (Site 3D, Causeway Flow, MicroDrainage, Civil 3D or equivalent).
* Previous experience in Geometric Design.
* Knowledge of DMRB design standards will be advantageous.
* Working towards Chartership / Professional Engineer.
* A ‘can do’ attitude.
