With the support of our Practice Development Facilitator for Therapies and our Senior Intern for Allied Healthcare Professionals, BHRUT is an ideal place to continue your growth in your career. We have an established in service training programme. You will also be well supported by experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapists and Band 8a Clinical Lead’s in each rotational post.

Main duties of the job

Through a holistic approach, to provide a high standard of Occupational Therapy service, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries.

To participate in the Band 6 rotational scheme, this involves working across both sites and in the community.

To fulfil a teaching and supervisory role with peers, junior staff and students on placement.

Our patients are benefitting from our in Ilford; an in Hornchurch; and Community Diagnostic Centres (CDC) at and at in Hornchurch.

These CDCs are open 12 hours a day, 7 days a week and are providing an extra 88,000 scans a year.

The majority of our 8,000 staff – who come from 146 different countries - live in the three diverse London boroughs we serve and are from black, Asian and minority ethnic groups. Many can and more than 400 of them are on our Ofsted accredited. We’re proud to be a employer.

Experience/ Knowledge

Essential criteria

1. Broad acute inpatient experience at Band 5 Occupational Therapist level or above

Desirable criteria

2. Experience at Band 6 Occupational Therapist level

Skills/ Abilities

Essential criteria

3. Ability to demonstrate skills in assessment and treatment of patients in line with current practise and research
4. Ability to work without supervision

Desirable criteria

5. Experience of supervision of other staff i.e. assistants and technical instructors
6. Presentation skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
