✨ Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team in York on a temporary, part-time basis.
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will be confident in delivering planned lessons, supporting whole-class teaching, and working with small groups or individual pupils to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
* Support pupils’ learning and development, adapting approaches to meet individual needs.
* Assist in the assessment of pupils’ progress and provide feedback.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
* Contribute to the wider life of the school as needed.
Requirements:
* ✅ HLTA status (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Experience working with primary or secondary-aged pupils.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility, reliability, and a commitment to supporting children’s education.
Details:
* Contract: Temporary
* Hours: Part-time (days/hours to be agreed)
* Pay: £110 – £140 per day (depending on experience)
* Location: York
* Start date: 1st October
