Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team to deliver tutoring sessions every Saturday 10am to 2pm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students. This role involves teaching mathematics concepts to students, managing classroom behaviour, and providing support to individuals with diverse learning needs. The successful applicant will also engage in creative teaching methods that inspire students and enhance their understanding of mathematical principles.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various learning styles and abilities.
* Teach mathematics curriculum effectively, ensuring that all students grasp key concepts.
* Utilise behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere.
* Provide tutoring and additional support to students who require extra help with mathematics.
* Foster an inclusive environment for students with special educational needs, adapting lessons as necessary.
* Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and behaviour.
* Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.
* Incorporate creative writing and physical education elements into lessons where appropriate to promote holistic learning.
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Qualifications
* A degree in Mathematics or a related field is essential; teaching qualifications are highly desirable.
* Experience working with children in an educational setting is required, preferably in early childhood education or preschool environments.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective interaction with students and parents.
* Proven ability in behaviour management techniques to create a conducive learning environment.
* Experience in tutoring or providing additional academic support is advantageous.
* Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: £19.21-£34.67 per hour
