Due to increasing activities and expanding work programme in our Fenwick office, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic professional with a passion for Forestry. We are looking for someone who will complement our dynamic team and be able to contribute using their relevant skills and experience.
Responsibilities
As a Forest Manager, you will deliver forest plans, support management and harvesting teams, liaise with clients and stakeholders, prepare and manage budgets, and oversee site planning and contractor oversight. You will identify, analyse and solve problems, manage safety and operational standards, and support the implementation of alternative silvicultural systems.
Qualifications
Applicants should have demonstrable forestry experience and relevant academic qualifications. Experience in forest and woodland management, woodland creation, estate management, and site safety management is desired. Candidates should have a good working knowledge of the UK forest industry, a sound understanding of site planning and sector economics, and commercial awareness. Experience with contractor management is required. Membership of the Institute of Chartered Foresters or progression towards chartered status is encouraged, with support for further professional development. A full, valid driving licence is mandatory.
