Position Overview
Applications are invited for the post of Business Intelligence Developer in the Directorate of Strategic Planning and Change. Royal Holloway, University of London is undertaking a major project to replace its Student Record System (SRS) and transform the operating model for Student Study Services. The SRS underpins the entire student journey, from application through to graduation. This project is central to our commitment to delivering a modern, efficient, and student‑focused experience.
This role will undertake work to ensure that we maintain existing services during the span of the project.
Key Responsibilities
The post holder will have technical experience of reporting and visualising strategic information and an understanding of the key performance metrics used within the higher education sector. A successful candidate will have an eye for detail, an aptitude for analysis, good communication skills and the ability to develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the institution.
Experience of reporting and visualising data and information, and an understanding of the key performance metrics affecting the higher education sector is also essential. Dashboard reporting experience using Qlik Sense, PowerBI or Tableau is highly desirable. Experience in design, build and maintenance of a data warehouse and its associated ETL processes would also be desirable.

We are seeking a dynamic and forward‑thinking candidate who can work across the University to ensure the implementation of the new system delivers excellent data flow, reporting and integration with our data warehouse. You will be able to build successful partnerships with internal and external colleagues and work closely with a range of stakeholders including academic and professional services colleagues, external partners and students.
