Job Description:
Technical Assurance Auditor needed. Mostly remote role covering Exeter and surrounding area. Company Van provided.
Working hours: Full time (40 hours per week)
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
1. Develop strong relationships with all levels of employees and promote a culture of engagement and collaboration.
2. Conduct technical and H&S audits of field operatives using our auditing systems and processes.
3. Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to action owners, and offer authoritative advice on closing out actions.
4. Assist the Lead Technical Auditor in delivering health and safety initiatives across the group.
5. Help develop processes, procedures, forms, and documents as needed.
6. Utilize company systems to monitor and report compliance.
7. Support operational managers with forms, templates, and accurate completion of HSEQ information, including incident investigations.
8. Provide support and guidance to field operatives as required.
9. Prepare concise, factual, and accurate status reports for the Lead Technical Auditor to support effective decision-making.
10. Perform skills assessments and specific audits on newly joined engineers.
11. Stay updated on changes to trade and health and safety legislation.
12. Assist operational managers with training and testing of operatives for safety compliance, such as face-fit testing and safe isolation procedures.
13. Perform other duties within your competence as directed by your line manager.
Qualifications and Training:
1. Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Projects, Teams, etc.).
2. Current Oil certifications (101, 105e, 600a) - willing to work towards.
3. Experience or willingness to work towards certifications in Commercial Gas (CoDNCO1, CDGA1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1a, TPCP1).
4. IOSH Managing Safely - willing to work towards.
5. Fire Warden training - willing to work towards.
6. First Aid Trained - willing to work towards.
Experience & Skills:
1. Experience issuing, following up, and closing corrective actions.
2. Experience dealing with external auditors.
3. Effective communication with diverse groups.
4. Report writing and presentation skills.
5. Knowledge of operational activities in Gas, Electrical, and Construction industries.
6. On-site health and safety management.
7. Meticulous attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8. Ability to work independently and responsibly.
9. Organizational skills to manage workload and prioritize tasks.
10. Ability to build relationships at all levels.
11. Valid driving license.
12. Commitment to high-quality customer service.
13. Approachable, collaborative, and proactive in seeking improvements and embracing change.
14. Ability to establish effective working relationships and gain confidence quickly.
Salary and Additional Information:
£17.52 per hour, with the position becoming permanent after a 13 to 15-week probation period.
