A forward-thinking building consultancy is seeking a Graduate Fire Engineer to join their specialist team.
This Graduate Fire Engineer role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative, sustainable building design while developing technical expertise within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
The Graduate Fire Engineer's Role
The Graduate Fire Engineer will support the delivery of fire engineering solutions from early design through to project completion. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with fire strategy development for a variety of building types
Supporting CFD modelling, smoke movement analysis, and evacuation modelling
Producing calculations, sketches, diagrams, and fire strategy reports
Working closely with architects, structural engineers, and wider design teams
Identifying potential fire safety challenges and supporting mitigation strategies
Assisting in the review of designs against UK Building Regulations and industry standards
Participating in design meetings and workshops alongside senior engineers
Using engineering software and digital tools to support technical delivery
Contributing to data collection, analysis, and documentation for projects
Delivering tasks in line with agreed deadlines, budgets, and quality expectationsThe Graduate Fire Engineer
The ideal Graduate Fire Engineer will be motivated to build a long-term career within fire engineering and demonstrate strong technical foundations.
Key requirements:
Bachelor's degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent) in Fire Engineering or a related discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering)
A Master's degree in Fire Engineering or similar is advantageous
Strong numerical and analytical skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt within a fast-paced environment
A genuine interest in fire engineering and the built environmentIn Return?
£28,000 - £32,000 salary
