What you’ll do as a Manufacturing Engineering Degree Apprentice
As a Manufacturing Engineering Degree Apprentice, you will support different aspects of manufacturing to gain experience and knowledge of our business processes and requirements in different departments before moving into your final placement within our Manufacture Engineering team. You will join a specialist team of engineers and work within our Integrated Project Teams. During your placements you will work with experienced engineers to design and test new and existing products, learning about the engineering lifecycle and using your new skills to solve problems, generate ideas and support the development of the next generation of employee‑warranty (EW) products.
You will also attend university on a mixture of day and block day release to complete your Manufacturing Engineer Degree Apprenticeship (ST0025) which includes a BEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering. Through your work placements you will record learning activities and evidence to show your competency in set criteria, and in your final placement you will complete a project that forms part of your degree.
During your apprenticeship, you will
* Grow your knowledge of an engineering business and the role of a Manufacturing Engineer by being part of our Integrated Project Teams.
* Develop practical skills in manufacturing engineering and understand key processes and technologies.
* Support early‑careers activities – apprentices have the opportunity to work as STEM ambassadors in schools, colleges and universities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* 120 UCAS points at A* Level to include Maths and Physics, BTEC Extended Diploma or equivalent.
* 5 GCSE grades 4‑9 or A*‑C or equivalent – Mandatory English, Maths and Science plus 2 additional subjects.

£21,525
Security Clearance
This role is subject to pre‑employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional National Security Vetting may apply.
