Job Details

This is an HR remit like no other. It is an opportunity for a highly-skilled HR professional to work in a faith-based organisation in a unique role leading people, culture, and chaplaincy services in an organisation making a lasting difference to people at a crucial time in their lives.

YMCA St Paul’s Group empowers young people and communities across London and beyond. Every day, it makes a positive difference through transformative youth work, vital community services, inclusive health and wellbeing centres, and supported accommodation for those at risk of homelessness. As one of Europe’s largest YMCAs—and one of London’s leading charities—its work today builds on a legacy of over 180 years of impact.

The next Director of People and Culture will build on existing strong foundations to develop people, create culture and embed policies to support and empower staff and volunteers. With responsibility for the Chaplaincy team, you will have oversight of a team offering pastoral and spiritual support to staff, residents, and other customers of all faiths and none. You will uphold the highest organisational standards to support others in their work, and as part of a skilled and committed Executive Team, you would work with peers, the Board and its committees in shaping the organisation for the future.

This is a role for someone with experience of leadership, who is visibly motivated by their values and who brings their Christian faith to work.

Closing date for applications 11.59pm on Sunday 9 November 2025.
