Service & Applications Engineer A family-owned, high-tech engineering company headquartered in Germany is seeking to expand its UK and Ireland service team. The company is a European market leader in high-precision tool holders for the metalworking industry and a global leader in tool shrinking, balancing, and presetting technologies. The Role We are currently looking for a Service & Applications Engineer to support customers across the UK and Ireland. This is a home-based role involving extensive travel and close collaboration with sales and technical teams. You will be responsible for supporting the full product portfolio, with a strong focus on machine installations, applications support, and customer training, both before and after sales. Key Responsibilities Installation and commissioning of machines at customer sites Delivering customer training and application support Performing service visits, software updates, and preventative maintenance Providing technical support remotely and on-site Handling technical sales enquiries and supporting the sales team with technical expertise Acting as a key technical interface between customers and internal teams Your Profile Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a comparable technical qualification (preferred) Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with CNC machine tool service Experience with machine installations, applications, customer training, and maintenance Ability to work independently and manage tasks proactively Strong PC skills, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Fluent in written and spoken English; German language skills are an advantage Detail-oriented, well organised, and a strong team player Willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK and Ireland What We Offer Salary £35,000 – £40,000 per year (depending on experience) Company car included, available for private use A challenging and varied role in a leading high-tech engineering company Home-office-based position within the UK Full product training and long-term career development opportunities Location Home office in the UK, with regular travel across the UK and Ireland Interested?
