Warehouse Operative | Poole | £30,800 Are you an experienced warehouse professional who enjoys working with systems, data and processes in a fast-paced distribution environment? This permanent Distribution Centre Operative role offers a mix of hands-on warehouse work and administration, using a Warehouse Management System to keep stock accurate and goods flowing smoothly. Working split shifts Monday to Friday, you will play a key part in the efficient running of a busy Distribution Centre. As a Warehouse Operative, your responsibilities will include: Ensuring the timely and accurate receipt of all goods into the Distribution Centre, using the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to book in stock and highlight discrepancies Processing, monitoring and moving stock through the WMS from receipt through to dispatch, escalating any issues to the Distribution Supervisor as required Maintaining stock integrity through effective stock control, including overseeing picking, replenishment and routine stock checks Completing all warehouse-related paperwork and administrative tasks accurately and on time, ensuring information is shared with the relevant departments Supporting and training colleagues on WMS and operational processes, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping and following all Health & Safety requirements. As a Warehouse Operative, your experience will include: A valid Counterbalance Forklift licence (essential) Previous experience in a busy warehouse, distribution or logistics environment, ideally with next-day operations exposure Confident use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other software to manage stock and data accurately Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, proactively resolving discrepancies and problems as they arise A positive, team-focused approach, comfortable working within set processes and on a rotating split-shift pattern.
