Production Technician - Mechanical
Pertemps Bristol is recruiting for mechanical production technicians to work within a thriving plasma technology business in Yatton, near Bristol. This is a fast-paced manufacturing environment with a strong teamwork culture where you will be building precision equipment that is used at the forefront of scientific research and development.
1. £31,000-35,000 depending on experience
2. Monday - Friday
3. Each working week consists of 4 shifts of 8 hours and one of 5 hours. Currently, the shifts are Early (starting at 06:00hrs) and Afternoon (starting at 14:00hrs)

About the job
12. Work on the assembly build of high-tech, cutting edge products
13. Build systems, sub-assemblies and piece parts for complex systems
14. Ensure that the requirements of the BOM and the customer specification are achieved
15. Identify and resolve build problems
16. Report technical issues and record using the FRACAS process
17. Detail fitting skills to precision level, including machining (typically milling and turning), vacuum and pneumatics and pipe bending with stainless steel, ¼" to ½"
18. Train and guide less experienced technicians
The right candidate
19. Time served Mechanical apprenticeship or City and Guilds part 3, or HND, HNC, or BTech level 3
20. Ability to read mechanical drawings
21. Ability to fault find and implement corrective action
22. Precision fitting and pipe bending skills
23. A good working knowledge of Swagelok
24. PC skills
25. Good communication skills
