Experienced Full-time Bookkeeper
An excellent opportunity to join an established accountancy practice as an office based full time bookkeeper. with offices in Hornchurch (London Borough of Havering) and Loughton (Essex) working within the book keeping & VAT department. The practice is well respected with a varied local client base and provides a modern approach to the profession. It has a strong professional work force and an extremely high staff retention rate. There is a vibrant and dynamic working environment.
The practice is looking for an experienced book keeper to join the team who is:
-Ideally qualified to AAT level, but happy to consider persons qualified by experience with a very good knowledge of VAT workings and ability to produce Returns.
-Have a good and varied knowledge of current computer based packages. Ideally having experience in Freeagent, Kashflow, Xero or Sage book-keeping.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and their monthly/quarterly bookkeeping and VAT requirements using cloud based software packages
- Monthly reconciliation of control accounts (bank, payroll, vat)
- Communication with clients to ensure reporting deadlines are met
- Data entry of clients receipts and expenses.
Salary around £23k, depending on experience/qualifications
