The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key part in help design and engineer hardware solutions for all types of automation projects. You'll also be responsible for schematics, engineering calculations, BOM’s and design documentation.
Key Responsibilities
* Understand and interpret customer/process requirements.
* Prepare functional design specifications and user manuals.
* Design electrical systems using EPLAN 22-24, including 3D layout drawings.
* Create accurate Bills of Materials (BoMs) for procurement and documentation.
* Collaborate with design and controls engineers to meet overall system needs.
* Support commissioning processes (FAT & SAT).
* Ensure compliance with safety directives and technical standards.
* Occasionally travel for customer meetings and site support.
* Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
* Proficient in EPLAN electrical design software.
* Engineering documentation.
* Engineering calculations.
* Strong communicator with excellent time management skills.
* Degree or HNC/HND/BTEC in Electrical Engineering.
* Experienced in electrical design within automation
