Legal Counsel – Manager Level
Base Location: London, Reading or other KPMG UK office location (20 offices nationally)
The KPMG OGC Commercial team is essential to supporting our UK business. It operates within KPMG Business Services (KBS), focusing on impactful work.
Within KBS, we are a community of experts across various critical activities that help grow, run, and protect KPMG in the UK. Our areas include HR, Learning, Finance, Procurement, Facilities, Business Support, Risk, Legal, Corporate Affairs, and Sales and Marketing, all aimed at enhancing the firm's performance with diligence and expertise.

We seek a lawyer with at least 2 years PQE to join our busy OGC Commercial team at the manager level. This team reviews and negotiates various documents between KPMG and its clients or third parties.
The role involves working under time pressure, negotiating advantageous positions for clients, and collaborating with data protection, information security, pursuits, and risk teams. Strong drafting, negotiating skills, pragmatism, and good task management are essential.
Responsibilities:
* Handling a broad range of matters, including approving KPMG’s new services and products
* Assisting with general commercial queries
* Drafting software licenses
* Supporting deals and providing contract support for engagement teams
* Negotiating and drafting framework and master services agreements with client lead partners and specialists
Requirements:
* Qualified lawyer with at least 2 years PQE
* Strong drafting and negotiating skills
* Pragmatism, common sense, and good time management
* Experience in a professional services environment is advantageous
* Ability to manage workload while ensuring compliance with KPMG’s training and administrative standards
