Overview
Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at Norton College - Worcester. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students who may present with complex profiles of need as a result of autism and other neurodivergent conditions, developmental trauma and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Meeting EHCP needs will be a primary focus, target led via the OFG all, group and individual clinical ways of working embedded into our clinical practice. The postholder will also coordinate the line management of onsite clinical team members and lead on the service development of the clinical school-based service alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
Location: Norton College – Worcester. Norton College forms part of our Acorn Education brand and is an independent specialist day school for young people aged 11 - 19.
Responsibilities
* Manage and lead the in-house Clinical Team at Norton College, working in collaboration with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles of need related to autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma and SEMH.
* Coordinate line management of the onsite clinical team and contribute to service development of the school-based clinical provision.
* Support the growth of colleagues, apprentices, students and therapy assistants within the clinical service.
* Work in a multidisciplinary clinical environment to promote a person-centred, safeguarding-focused approach and enable pupils to flourish with increased independence.
Essential Criteria
* Allied health professional qualification or Psychotherapy/Clinical Psychology/Counselling Qualification
* Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS)
* Experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs
* Clear and concise clinical and research report writing
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team
* Ability to work independently and within a growing, developing clinical service
* Experience of multidisciplinary work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred)
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle
Attributes and Conditions
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday; Contract: Permanent (term time only or flexible around full-time can be discussed based on circumstances)
* Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 FTE DOE
* Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time contract can be discussed)
