Main duties of the job
This is a full-time role supporting the CMHT and the newly developed Mental Health Integrated Community Service (MHICS), working alongside primary care colleagues. The role involves seeing a small number of patients directly and contributing to the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team.
About us
Based in Slough, our busy team works with adults experiencing severe mental health difficulties, providing support to carers and families. We operate the main CMHT, a Recovery Team offering psychoeducation, workshops, training, and a peer mentor programme.
The CMHT is an integrated service between BHFT and Slough Borough Council, with supported living placements providing low to medium care.

Job description
Responsibilities:
* Weekly supervision of a GP trainee (1 hour) alongside clinical duties
* 7.5 PAs as Direct Clinical Care (clinics, MDTs, MHA work, meetings, admin, referrals, GP liaison)
* 2.5 PAs Supporting Professional Activities (CPD, management, audits, supervisions)
Additional opportunities include participation as an appraiser and becoming a clinical/educational supervisor for GPVTS trainees.
Managerial duties
All consultants are expected to attend monthly meetings with the Locality Manager, with regular individual support meetings arranged as needed to discuss training, study needs, and work issues.
