The school is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support children with autism and help them thrive. What you’ll be doing: Collaborating with teachers to create and deliver engaging learning activities Supporting students by delivering personalised action plans and strategies to help them make progress Assisting with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Risk Assessments, Personal Care and Therapy programmes Working closely with teachers, support staff, families and external agencies to provide the best possible support Building positive, therapeutic relationships with students and responding to their individual needs We’d love to hear from you if you: Have experience working with Autistic Children, or a strong desire to work with children with ASC. Understand SEN and are passionate about developing your skills Can commit to fixed days, full-time Hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ in Childcare and Education or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools May have experience in residential care, school support roles, or personal experience with ASC Have completed or are willing to complete training such as Team Teach, TEACCH or positive handling Have experience supporting independence and social-emotional development in young people Hold a clear and valid DBS (or are willing to obtain one) Why Work with Supply Desk?
