Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Test Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Materials and Testing laboratory. As explorers in the field of materials science, our lab plays a crucial role in delivering essential product test data for aerospace customer qualifications, product re-sites, problem resolution, and product development activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Developing and implementing new testing techniques and improving existing methods.
* Leading continuous improvement initiatives and method development.
* Ensuring the development, standardisation, and implementation of reporting improvements through new procedures.
* Delivering and enhancing training programmes for laboratory staff.
* Expanding testing capabilities to include physical, analytical, mechanical, and NDI techniques.
* Supporting test requests and providing detailed reports with matrix comparisons to industry standards.
* Performing root cause analysis and troubleshooting test failures.
