Buyer – Residential Developer Location: Hampshire / Dorset region Salary: Competitive package Type: Full-time, Permanent We’re working with a respected and well-established residential developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality homes across the South. Due to sustained growth and a healthy project pipeline, they’re looking to appoint an experienced Buyer to join their commercial team. The Role This is a great opportunity for a driven and organised Buyer to take ownership of procurement across a portfolio of quality developments. The successful candidate will work closely with project teams to ensure all materials, plant, and subcontract packages are procured efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with company standards. Key Responsibilities: Source and procure materials, plant, and subcontract packages to meet programme and budget requirements. Negotiate prices and contract terms to achieve best value while maintaining quality standards. Build and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships. Support project teams with accurate forecasting and procurement scheduling. Contribute to cost control, value engineering, and continuous improvement across the supply chain. About You: Experience in a buying or procurement role within housebuilding or construction. Confident negotiator with excellent commercial awareness. Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Good knowledge of construction materials and processes.
