Chef\n\nAre you an experienced Chef ready to take on a key role in a dynamic school environment?\n\nWe are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Chef to join our busy and friendly school catering team as a Section Chef, working alongside other Section Chefs to provide our full service to pupils, staff and external visitors/hirers.\n\nReporting to the Chef Manager, this role has three main responsibilities:\n\n * Prepare delicious, high quality food for pupils, staff and visitors during term time.\n\n * Supervising and delegating roles to supporting Catering Assistants.\n\n * Managing a key section of the kitchen.\n\nBeing highly motivated and flexible will be key and you will need to have excellent customer service skills with a positive, cheerful, 'can-do' attitude.\n\nYour main duties include:\n\n * Preparation, cooking and service of the lunchtime and Nursery meals plus any hospitality functions.\n\n * Assisting the Chef Manager/Customer Experience Manager where required.\n\n * Adhering to strict allergen protocols and procedures.\n\n * Liaising with Nursery staff regarding Nursery menu delivery and planning.\n\n * Helping with the general cleaning and clearing up on completion of service.\n\n * Supporting out of hours school events and hospitality where required.\n\nPrevious catering experience is essential as either a School Chef or from a contract/commercial catering environment. Possession of NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualifications would be desirable.\n\nExcellent benefits apply. Uniform and lunch provided.
