Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the administration of the Mental Health Act / Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
* Receive and scrutinise all legal MHA paperwork, ensuring a high degree of accuracy at all times.
* Facilitate/arrange First‑Tier Tribunal/Hospital Managers hearings, request/chase reports, liaise with professionals and service users to ensure all hearing proceedings run smoothly.
* Deal appropriately with all incoming and outgoing communication (emails, telephone, post) as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
A good understanding of Mental Health legislation is ideal but not essential; full induction and ongoing training will be provided.
The successful candidate must be able to prioritise workload to meet legislative deadlines, be a team player capable of cross‑covering trust wide, possess excellent written and communication skills, and be able to work with a wide range of disciplines and external agencies.
Must be able to deal with sensitive information and situations calmly and professionally.
Working Conditions
Permanent, full‑time position.
Flexible working hours available between 8 am – 5 pm.

Applicants may be required to cover the cost of the DBS certificate, which will be reimbursed by the Trust. The Trust will also reimburse relocation expenses up to £8,000 subject to eligibility.
