Kitchen Assistant at Statham Manor Care Centre - Hospitality - Full Time - Permanent

Our stunning new home, Statham Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in Lymm, Cheshire. It provides care for 66 residents with diverse needs, including residential and nursing care, ensuring safety, comfort, and high standards of care. We invest in modern technology and offer daily activities and gentle exercises to enhance residents' wellbeing. Our team members are selected for warmth and passion, with comprehensive induction and ongoing training from our in-house trainers and the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD by CQC, and we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care, paying above the national minimum wage.

We are seeking a kind, organized, and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. The role involves assisting with meal preparation for residents and visitors. We offer a 35-hour contract at an hourly rate of £11.44. Shifts are from 08:00 to 19:00, with alternate weekends.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Assist with food preparation and cooking according to menus and instructions from the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
2. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and areas as per schedules.
3. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP regulations.
4. Follow instructions from the culinary team.
5. Perform daily pot washing duties.

Skills and Experience Required:

1. Previous experience in food services is desirable.
2. Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
3. Effective communication skills are essential.
4. A willingness to learn is essential.
5. No formal qualifications are required; training and development are provided.
