Lead infrastructure transformation in a business investing heavily in technology, resilience and security
This is far more than a traditional infrastructure support role.
Its an opportunity to join a well-established UK business at a pivotal stage in its technology evolution, helping modernise, secure and future-proof a complex IT environment while influencing how infrastructure services are delivered moving forward.
With a newly appointed IT leadership team and a clear focus on infrastructure resilience, cyber security and scalable technology, this role offers the chance to play a genuinely strategic part in shaping the future estate rather than simply maintaining existing systems.
Youll lead and contribute to modernisation initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, migration projects and cyber resilience improvements, while still remaining hands-on technically across core infrastructure technologies.
If you enjoy ownership, solving problems properly and building environments that are secure, scalable and future-ready, this role offers the autonomy and visibility to make a real impact.
Whats in it for you?
* A key role within a growing and evolving internal technology function
* Opportunity to lead infrastructure modernisation and migration projects
* Exposure to cyber security initiatives and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance
* A broad technical environment spanning infrastructure, networking, cloud and endpoint management

* Long-term progression opportunities as the technology function continues to grow
* Supportive leadership with genuine investment in systems, people and innovation
The role

* Managing Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy
* Supporting Intune and Entra ID environments
* Managing patching, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure governance

* Supporting networking technologies including firewalls, VLANs and VPNs
* Driving Cyber Essentials Plus aligned controls and security hardening
* Establishing proactive monitoring and infrastructure maintenance processes
* Supporting virtualised and hybrid infrastructure environments
* Automating and streamlining administration through PowerShell and scripting
* Acting as an escalation point for infrastructure incidents when required
What theyre looking for
Youll likely come from a broad infrastructure or systems engineering background and enjoy working across both operational support and strategic improvement projects.
Experience in the following would be valuable:
* Windows Server administration

* Infrastructure migrations and transformation projects
* Patch management and vulnerability remediation
