A Little More About Your Role…

Specifically supporting the Development team, the Associate Director/Technical Director will play a key role in the growth aspirations for Bristol and the wider South West. The ideal candidate will be embedded within the local and regional market and focused on client‑facing activities, business growth, market strategy and technical leadership. They will support the initiative to diversify our team in staff numbers and revenue.

Successful candidates will have proven experience of winning and delivering new work in a multi‑disciplinary consultancy environment across public and private sectors. Experience of large tender proposals and identifying opportunities with existing and new clients is required.


Key Aspects Of The Role Include

* Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, leveraging a network of clients, co‑professionals and colleagues.
* Liaising with the Regional Director for Development South and local office lead to set growth targets.
* Building trusted relationships with public/private sector clients and key stakeholders such as local planning authorities.
* Providing technical advice to clients and supporting them through the planning and design process.
* Coordinating across the Development team and sharing market intelligence, best practice and innovation.
* Leading and supporting bids, reviewing and authorising submissions, demonstrating commercial and technical added value.
* Ensuring compliance with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality).


What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate…

* Degree level qualification in transport planning or civil engineering, ideally with chartered professional status.
* Commercial and strategic capability with a proven track record of new business delivery.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and proven leadership/management capability.
* Track record of winning work.
* A broad range of relevant project experience.
