USER RESEARCHER - OUTSIDE IR35 - 12 MONTHS
Loriens leading Public Sector client is looking for an experienced User Researcher to join their team on an initial 12 month contract with good chance of extension.
Successful candidates must be Scotland based and able to work hybrid out of Edinburgh.
Job description's and Duties duties :
1. Establish and collaborate with targeted user groups to gather information about their current experience, pain points and specific requirements
2. Conduct focus groups and user research interviews; assist with usability testing; document findings & recommendations'
3. Understand qualitative & qualitative research methods
4. Awareness of costs and budgets
5. Confident in your presentation skills in order to present the findings & recommendations from user research to business users
6. Work closely within a multidisciplinary team, including web developers and programmers - including UX colleagues, UI developers and programmers
7. Have an awareness of current technology / user-centred trends
8. Ensure all work and research comply with the law and equal opportunities policies
9. Be the Voice of the User for the project
10. Assist with identification and creation of Personae, drawing on existing and new ethnographic / demographic data and research
11. Assist with the sourcing and recruitment of users that are representative of one or more Persona groups
12. Using proven experience and UCD-driven methodologies, conduct User Research activities (quantitive and qualitative) with user groups
13. Collaborate with others on the project team to ensure user needs are reflected and represented in user journeys maps
14. Conduct qualitative and quantitive usability test activities through defined, iterative stages of the project
15. Ensure an evidence-led approach is followed throughout, adhering to all legal and ethical user research principles & governance
16. Document findings that are appropriate for a number of internal and external stakeholders
