Classroom Support Assistant – Secondary Schools (Newport & Surrounding Areas)Start Date: September 2026

Location:(Newport & Surrounding Areas)Hours: 08:30 – 15:10, Monday to Friday | Full-Time/Part-Time (Term Time, Fixed Term)Contract: Temporary / Permanent (flexibility around you)Pay: £93 per day

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to work as Classroom Support Assistants across a range of secondary schools in Newport and the surrounding areas from September 2026.

The Role:

• Supporting students in the classroom on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and daily classroom activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment

We Are Looking For:

• Individuals looking to change career or start working in education
• Strong communication and people skills
• A patient, proactive, and positive attitude
• Experience working with people (e.g. customer service, care, coaching, youth work)
• A genuine desire to support young people

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)

• EWC registration (required to work in Welsh schools – we’ll support you through the process so it’s quick and straightforward!)
