Location: West Midlands – Wolverhampton, Walsall, Willenhall, Dudley areas We have a fantastic opportunity for a experienced Senior Quality Engineer/ Quality Manager to join a busy Precision component manufacturer based around the Wolverhampton, Walsall, Willenhall, Dudley area. Due to a retirement and recent restructure of the quality department they are now seeking a Senior Quality Engineer/ Quality Manager to lead the transition to a Best-In-Class high-value manufacturing business through world-class QMS systems. You’ll also manage all operational quality aspects across the whole business and ensure appropriate resource allocation across all business units. You’ll also ensure the business maintains certification to external Quality standards (AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001 and NADCAP) to support the current and future business plan. Other key duties include; Overall responsibility for the compliance of all quality & EHS standards and accreditations, including but not limited to AS9100, ISO 9001 & NADCAP. Manage, lead, motivate and allocate resource of personnel within the Quality Department, including Engineers and Inspectors. Conduct a comprehensive review of the suitability of the existing QMS system. Plan and enact necessary improvement activities to improve compliance and attain best-in-class quality capability. Review and report to Management Team suitability periodically. Development of the integrated QMS Management Systems; ensuring they are implemented; and that internal audits are completed, and non-conformances/action plans are implemented in accordance with the agreed schedule(s). Collating and analysing performance data and KPI’s against defined parameters; define and implement suitable metrics for measuring the performance of the QMS ensuring alignment to the business. Recruit new Quality staff in line with business requirements. Ensure all staff are inducted into the requirements of the QMS related to their own roles and responsibilities and provide update training as necessary. Ensure that all suppliers used by the organisation are selected, evaluated, and re-evaluated and records of any assessment are maintained in accordance with the QMS. To champion customer quality concerns and responding to customer non-conformance issues ensuring preventive actions taken are recorded and reviewed. Co-ordinating and leading regular quality clinics. You… To be successful in the role as the Senior Quality Engineer/ Quality Manager you’ll have the following skills and experience; Minimum of 5 years’ experience of QMS management, including QMS Improvement Leadership in a high-value manufacturing environment. You’ll be fully conversant with the following quality standards; AS9100 Rev D, ISO 9001, 14001 and NADCAP You’ll have worked within a machine shop environment. Minimum of 5 years’ experience of working in an Aerospace manufacturing Environment under AS9100 Rev D You’ll be fully conversant with continuous improvement methodology such as Lean Manufacturing, six sigma (DMAIC), 5S, Kaizen, Inspection Techniques, SOP management, FAIRs, PFMEA / PPAP, Coaching & Mentoring Others, MRP System You’ll have managed a team before You’ll have an experience as a lead auditor and hold the relevant qualifications Knowledge of Component Inspection Techniques Computer literate MS Word, Excel, MRP systems To Apply….
