Job Spec: In-house Editor
Reports to: Creative Director
Contract: Fairlight are offering an initial 12-month contract, starting on 2-3 days per week.
We are flexible on how these part-time hours are scheduled and open to discussions, including the possibility of spreading hours across more days to suit individual needs.

Overview
As our In-House Editor, you'll be responsible for editing a wide variety of video content from first cut through to final delivery. You'll work closely with our creative team to bring projects to life, ensuring work is delivered on time, on brand, and to a consistently high standard.
This role is ideal for someone who is creatively strong, organised, and comfortable juggling multiple projects at different stages of post-production.
Key Responsibilities:
Editing & Post-Production
Edit video content across multiple formats (long-form, short-form, social, cutdowns, etc.)
Take projects from assembly through to final delivery
Implement feedback from internal teams and clients efficiently
Ensure edits align with brand guidelines and creative direction
Prepare final exports for different platforms and specifications
Workflow
Manage project files, footage, and assets in line with company workflows
Maintain organised project structures and backups
Liaise with our Creative Team to flag timelines, workloads, and delivery risks
Support efficient post-production processes across the business
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience as a video editor (agency, production company, or in-house)
Strong proficiency in Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Excellent storytelling, pacing, and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Comfortable taking and responding to feedback from internal teams
Experience editing branded or commercial content
Motion graphics or title animation skills
Understanding of social media formats and platform requirements
Colour grading and audio balancing experience
