Chef de Partie Job Purpose
As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for Pastry work on a day to day basis & covering breakfast shifts
Your primary duties will include cooking and plating of restaurant & banqueting desserts, afternoon teas, breakfast preparation
Chef de Partie Job Duties
· Setting up the kitchen prior to a service
· Baking all pastry items on the menus
· Preparation of afternoon teas
-Prepartion & cooking of breakfast (buffet)
· Cleaning the kitchen at the end of each service
· Cleaning and sanitising work areas
· Wrapping, labelling and storing of food products
· Plating food creatively and maximising customer satisfaction
· To follow food safety, health & safety and food allergen regulations
Chef de Partie Skills, Experience and Qualifications
· Flexible approach to working in a team environment
· Good organisational skills
· Good time management skills
· In-depth knowledge of the standards of baking, cooking and grilling techniques
· Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to learn new recipes and new cooking procedures
· Ability to work efficiently and cooperatively in a team environment
· Ability to solve problems quickly
· Previous experience within a similar environment
· Relevant qualifications – City & Guilds 706/1 706/2 NVQ equivalent
