Overview
Fire Door Carpenter role at TieTalent. Rydon Maintenance are seeking a skilled Fire Door Carpenter to join our repairs and maintenance team. The role involves fire door inspections, repairs and replacement installations in Hospitals, Ambulance Stations, Care Homes and other commercial buildings in the South East. A UK driving licence is required as a company van and fuel card will be provided for travel.
Responsibilities
* Inspect fire doors to assess whether repairs or replacements are required.
* Carry out fire door maintenance and remedial works.
* Install new fire doors and frames.
* Understand and apply current fire regulations to ensure doors are compliant.
* Conduct inspections to ensure fire doors comply with fire safety regulations.
* Adjust door frames, ironmongery, and seals for proper fit and function.
* Identify and rectify fire door defects.
* Ensure all work meets industry regulations and safety standards.
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Experience and qualifications
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery
* Experience with maintenance, repair and replacement/installation of fire doors
* Healthcare environment experience (e.g., hospitals, care homes) preferred but not essential
* Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
* Excellent customer service skills
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Valid UK manual driving licence (not EU or automatic; no more than 6 points)
