Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK’s climate change agenda and energy policy.
Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We require an NEC‑experienced civil engineering professional to act as NEC ECC Supervisor, ensuring strict compliance with contract standards and statutory requirements. The role safeguards quality across major off‑site infrastructure works, including highways, rail, utilities, and temporary construction assets, supporting safe, assured project delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Monitoring contractor compliance.
* Issuing and managing defect notifications.
* Reviewing and accepting materials.
* Managing quality meetings.
* Liaising with council inspectors.
* Overseeing site safety compliance.
* Maintaining daily site records.
* Witnessing testing and commissioning.
* Coordinating with SZC quality systems.
* Providing clear reporting and stakeholder communication.
You’ll need to have:
* Proven experience in complex, safety‑critical projects.
* Degree with chartered status in a relevant field.
* Strong knowledge of CDM 2015 and NEC contracts.
* CSCS certification with excellent communication skills.
