We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our highly efficient commercial team.
The Role:
As a utilities contractor, we work with great clients, and now is an exciting moment to be part of our team as our industry embraces innovation and eco-friendly work practices. This specific role is aligned with our Southern Water client.
Your role plays a pivotal part in ensuring our commercial success, enabling us to invest in cutting-edge technologies, with a goal of creating infrastructure that is sustainable, carbon positive, and constructed/maintained in a manner that safeguards our planet for the future generations of our families.
As a Quantity Surveyor at Clancy, here's a glimpse of some of the responsibilities you'll be involved in…
Generating weekly revenue and cost reports
Managing submissions of daily completed jobs
Creating 'Schedule of Rates'
Reconciling Subcontractor costs and preparing payment certificates
Collaborating with Operations and Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes
Reviewing scheme works to ensure targets are on track for achievement
Pricing completed jobs for high-volume works
Establishing relationships with clients for 'Work In Progress' days
Analysing weekly and monthly cost and revenue data

You are an experienced Quantity Surveyor, someone with high enthusiasm, excellent communication skills, proactiveness, and exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Given the regular use of Excel in this role, it is imperative that you possess comprehensive knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, along with a strong commitment to data integrity.
We particularly encourage applications from those with a background in the utilities/civil engineering sector, coupled with experience in delivering NEC contract schemes and some sub-contract management expertise.
